A WINDOW TO THE PAST

This is a reflection. I do a lot if these. They are never layered. What you see is what was there at that moment. It not only reflects the image off of the subject surface but also many times captures images on the other side of the reflective surface. I never know exactly what I've captured until I upload the images to my computer and most of the time I'm amazed. I hope you are too.(The lamp post is not a part of the picture in the window. It is a reflection from the street behind me)

BENT AND TWISTED STUDIOS View Full Gallery I have always felt I had an artist hidden somewhere inside me. Unfortunately I couldn’t draw or paint. I didn’t want to carve wood or weld metal. It took me until a year ago to find a way to set this artist free. I always loved photography. Digital photography allowed me to not only take many photos that could be viewed immediately but enabled me to easily manipulate them with my own artistic touch. You will see that I like a lot of color and contrast. I try to take pictures of interesting subjects at a unique angle and perspective. Then I tweek them with some enhancements until I say “I like that” and I hope you do to.
