Gemini, commissioned by Michelle Lemmon, includes female, rather than the standard male images for Castor and Pollux, the main stars representing the twins. Pollux, on the left is represented by the world renowned 2nd century BC sculpture “Nike of Samothrace,” to which I took the liberty of adding a head. Castor, on the right, is the High Renaissance bronze sculpture “Astronomy, or Venus Urania,” by Giovanni da Bologna.
